Special discounted admission on International Museum Day!

Saturday, May 18

9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Heard joins museums around the world in this 37th annual celebration,

sponsored by the International Council of Museums since 1977.

This year's theme: (memory + creativity) = social change.

Here's the deal: Non-members receive 2-for-1 admission to the Heard in groups of two or four persons only.

2 ASU grad-degree recipients honored with 2013 Heard Museum

Eagle Spirit Awards

At ceremonies at the spring 2013 Arizona State University American Indian Convocation May 10, two students receiving post-baccaulaureate degrees were honored with Heard Museum Eagle Spirit Awards. The award recognizes dedication to American Indian communities through service and volunteering as well as academic achievement in chosen fields of study.

Lei-Lani White (Navajo) [below] received the 2013 Heard Museum Eagle Spirit Doctoral Student Award. She received a doctor of nursing practice degree, which is the clinical practice degree and terminal degree for nurse practitioners.

Candace Dawn French (Wichita/ Navajo/Comanche/ Blackfeet)  [below] received the 2013 Heard Museum Eagle Spirit Master Student Award. She received a master of arts degree in criminal justice.
