The Heard Museum has ample parking on its grounds. To avoid construction of the light rail track that may limit access from Central Avenue, please enter the museum from 3rd Street and Monte Vista Road. The museum's south entrance on Monte Vista Road west of 3rd Street provides easy, construction-free access to the museum. Click here for directions and a map.

Hey Kids! Don't Miss Heard Museum Family Day
Sunday, May 25, 2008, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ARCTIC ART AND ANIMALS - Learn more about life in the Arctic by making an origami whale, coloring a walrus, navigating an orca maze and solving a whale math puzzle. Plus, complete the activities and get a whale pencil and sharpener. Kids receive free admission with a paid adult.

Heard Museum West in Surprise will change to summer hours beginning May 1 and continuing through September 30. The exhibition galleries, shop and classrooms will be open to the public Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for the Heard Museum West calendar.

Visitors to the Heard Museum Phoenix can enjoy "Movie Mondays" with post-film tours/ discussions every Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the comfortable 30-seat Harnett Theater.

Coming Soon ... Underworlderness Exhibition

Join us for First Friday on June 6 from 8 to 10 p.m. and be among the first to see the large-format paintings created by Navajo artist Tony Abeyta. Abeyta will be working on a large-scale mural while his son, Gabriel, will videotape the process and create video shorts that will be shown in an adjacent gallery. Click here for more.
