Ornament 2

Our featured ornament for 2013:

Above: Silversmith Howard Sice (Laguna Pueblo) has created a wonderful limited-edition signature ornament for this year's Ornament Marketplace. The three-dimensional Hopi maiden, crafted from sterling silver, contains many symbols taken from Hopi culture. The ornament will catch the light and will glisten on your tree! The numbered edition of just 20 ornaments is priced at $175 each.

Bring out-of-town friends and family to the world famous Heard Museum Phoenix or Heard Museum North Scottsdale to learn more about Native cultures while you shop and get a jump-start on holiday shopping while avoiding the chaos of the mall. More than 20 talented Native artists have crafted ornaments featuring carved wood, miniature baskets, pottery and beads just for this event. Decorated wreaths, books and gifts made by Native artists will also be available for purchase.

Make a day of it! Enjoy live music, the museum and dining at The Café.

On Sunday at 12:30 and at 2 p.m., enjoy Mohawk flutist Dave Montour performing in the Central Courtyard. (Performance will be in the Monte Vista Room in case of inclement weather.)
