Choose from more than 30,000 titles ranging from rare books to paperbacks, historic tomes to cookbooks. In addition to fabulous book bargains, a selection of unique art and collectibles can be found, including American Indian and vintage jewelry, katsina dolls, prints, pottery and ceramic vessels.
Also, enjoy foot-stomping waila (chicken scratch) music, courtesy of Canyon Records group AKA Southern Scratch, on Saturday in the Central Courtyard.
PLEASE NOTE AUTHOR CHANGES:
Author Lisa Schnebly Heidinger was scheduled to will sign copies of her Centennial book Arizona: 100 Years Grand in Books & More on Saturday; however, she will now sign books on Friday, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. She will sign extra books so visitors who arrive on Saturday will still get a signed book.
Also, Byrd
Baylor has signed on to sign books on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Baylor lives and writes in Arizona, presenting images of the Southwest
and an intense connection between the land and the people.
Members shop first on Friday, and everyone can bid Friday and Saturday on special silent-auction items. Proceeds benefit the Billie Jane Baguley Heard Museum Library and Archives. Have books or treasures you want to donate? Your tax deductible contribution is appreciated. Just drop off items at the Heard Museum loading dock book drop box, located on the east side of the building. Or, call 602.251.0281 to schedule a pick up of your items.
What happens if my items don't sell? Unsold artifacts are donated to the Helping Hands Thrift Shop, located in the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community.
