Mothers and Daughters: Stories in Clay
An Exhibit at the Heard Museum
January 2009 – January 2010

The exhibit of creative works by these very talented women is scheduled to open on January 8, 2009, and continue until January 2010. The exhibit will also be a featured visitation point during the April 2008 NCECA (National Council for Education on the Ceramic Arts) Conference, which will bring approximately 5,000 members to Phoenix.  

One of the artists in the exhibition, Nora Naranjo Morse is also the signature artist for the 51st Annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market, to be held on Saturday & Sunday, March 7 & 8, 2009. Naranjo Morse will be at the Fair and will discuss her work as a potter, painter, poet and filmmaker.


Talks & Lectures
 

Wednesday, February 25, 2009: Nights at North, 6 p.m. at Heard Museum North Scottsdale. Heard Museum Curator of Collections Diana Pardue will discuss the artistry of the extended Naranjo family and the exhibition. Free for Heard Museum members, $5 for non-members. RSVP to 602.251.0209 ex. 6406.
