Following are the details you'll need for your visit to the Heard Museum. Make sure to leave time to enjoy the Heard Museum Shop as well as The Café at the Heard Museum.

With 10 exhibition galleries, there's much to see at the Heard. Guests frequently spend from two to five hours perusing the galleries. You can plan your visit ahead of time with our interactive map or download brochures in advance.

Hours
The Heard Museum is open daily. The Heard Museum Shop remains open 30 minutes after the museum closes for your shopping convenience.

The Heard Museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
Also, please note that the museum closes at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Beginning October 1, 2010, the Heard Museum, Heard Museum North Scottsdale, the Heard Museum Shops, the Berlin Gallery and the Cafés at the Heard Museum will be open 364 days a year - every day except December 25.

Museum Galleries – 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Museum Shop & Berlin Gallery – 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday,
11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday
The Shop is also open until 8 p.m. on the third Friday of each month during NU.

The Café at the Heard Museum – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Sunday

Community Second Sundays
The Heard Museum Phoenix offers free admission to Arizona residents nearly every Second Sunday, unless a festival falls on the Second Sunday. See calendar for details.

Guided Tours
Free public guided tours are offered daily at noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Additional tours may be scheduled depending on the season. Tours provide in-depth, personal interpretation of the museum’s exhibitions, collections and history. Tours include an in-depth look at the signature exhibit HOME: Native People in the Southwest at noon and 3 p.m., and a Highlights of the Heard tour at 2 p.m.

In addition to daily museum tours, tours of the exhibit Allan Houser: Tradition to Abstraction and sculptures found on the grounds of the museum are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 11 a.m.

Parking
Ample free parking is available on the museum grounds. For weekend festivals, the Heard Museum receives permission for guests to park for free in the empty parking lots of highrises and businesses in a four-block radius of the museum. Look for signs along Central Avenue.

Easy Light Rail Access
Park and ride to the museum's front door! The Heard Museum Encanto/Central stop lets you off right at the museum's front entrance. There are many places to park and ride; click here for more information and to plan your trip.

Heard Main

From I-10 Heading West
1) Exit 7th STREET, and turn RIGHT.
2) Turn LEFT (north) at the first major intersection, McDowell Road. You'll need to move across 7th Street quickly to reach the left turn lanes onto McDowell Road.
3) Turn RIGHT (north) on Central Avenue.
4) Turn RIGHT (east) into the Heard Museum.

From I-10 Heading East
1) Exit 7th STREET, and turn LEFT (north).
2) Turn LEFT (west) at the first major intersection, McDowell Road. You'll need to move across 7th Street quickly to reach the left turn lanes onto McDowell Road.
3) Turn RIGHT (north) on Central Avenue.
4) Turn RIGHT (east) into the Heard Museum.
